Nikki King has been placing athletes at the collegiate level for over 25 years. In 2016 she started Playincollege and has grown her business into a full time job! To date, PIC3 has successfully supported over 126 volleyball players in their pursuit of playing in college.

My tailored approach to the recruiting process offers comprehensive support at every stage. This includes assistance with video editing, phone call preparation, email communication, college visit preparations, and helping families find the ideal college fit, among other services, including multiple college showcases and webinars. We cover it all! I have even developed an internal educational portal for my clients. My team and I travel nationwide to major tournaments, advocating for our athletes through our extensive network of college coaches who rely on our evaluations.

I have been fortunate to observe the growth of my former volleyball clients into successful women, with many pursuing a coaching career at the club, high school and college level! Many Alumni are married and have begun families of their own. My clients have become family and I have been so blessed to be able to do this for a living!

The picture you see here is with T’ara Austin. Tee was a player of mine back in 2013! A 5’8 Middle Blocker that was Conference Player of the Year at Northern Illinois. She sinced moved to Florida and helped me launch PIC3. She is currently playing professional beach volleyball and assists me with video editing!

The Numbers!

Nikki has placed 126 athletes at the collegiate level! With a large percentage of those athletes placed at the DI level.

We have an incredibly high success rate! We consult with each prospect to ensure that athletic skill meets athletes goals and expectations. We put together a personalized strategic plan for each athlete. If the athlete is not comfortable with agreeing to the target plan, then we part ways before any payments are made. As a result, our success rate is around 98%.

PLACEMENTS
  • Jordan Houston-Lipscomb University

This picture was taken in 2011. I coached Jordan in club and helped her reach her goal to play DI volleyball. Unfortunately, her mother was taken to the emergency room with cancer treatment complications on the day of Jordan’s senior prom. I was honored to be there for Jordan to take pictures and share this special day with her! Jordan is now a very successful Nurse!

  • Mallory Mangun Jamnik-Southern Illinois University Edwardsville

This picture was taken at AAU in 2024. I coached Mallory in 2013. She was an All American Setter! Her goal was to play DI in 5-1 system, but she was only 5’7. I helped Mallory achieve that goal and she was named Freshman of the Year in her conference. After graduation, she took a coaching job at Florida State University. She assisted Chris Poole with recruiting Skye Ekes, one of our clients in 2020. Skye was a powerhouse in Florida, yet not many college coaches knew who she was. Until she hired us! Skye had many offers to choose from at the Power Five level. Mallory is now a teacher in Joliet, Il and coaches club volleyball. She recently got married! We continue to stay very close!

  • Paris Thompson- Notre Dame

This picture was taken at Florida Region All Star Tryouts in 2019. Paris Thompson was my very first PIC3 client in 2016. Paris was named to the Florida Gatorade Volleyball Player of the Year her Senior Year. When I walked in to a gym and saw her crush a ball as a little Freshman, I knew we had something special here. Paris at that time was completely unknown outside of Florida. She ended up committing to Notre Dame about 1 month after we started working for her! (Yes as a Freshman, before the rule change). Paris is now finishing up her grad year at Alabama.

  • Brylee Kelly-Wichita State

This picture was taken in 2023 during Brylee’s senior year of college at one of her college matches vs USF. I coached Brylee in club and helped her secure her scholarship. My relationship with the head coach was so strong that he ended up offering Brylee, site unseen. THROUGH VIDEO I CREATED FOR BRYLEE! She is now the assistant college coach at Liberty University and currently recruiting our PIC3 athletes. Brylee and I talk all the time, sometimes too much. Sorry Bry!
